University Chapters

Student-led communities. Real support.

MindLyfe University Chapters are peer communities embedded in campuses in Uganda. Led by trained student leaders, they bring Mental Health conversations, support circles, and professional referrals directly to students where they are.

What chapters do

More than a club.

Every MindLyfe chapter runs a consistent core programme, adapted to its campus culture. Leaders are trained and supported by MindLyfe's clinical and operations team.

Peer support circles

Safe, facilitated small-group sessions where students share experiences and support each other - no clinical diagnosis, no judgment.

Wellness events

Talks, open mics, wellness days, and awareness campaigns that make mental health a normal campus conversation.

Professional referrals

Chapter leaders are trained to identify students who need more support and connect them to licensed therapists through the MindLyfe platform.

Stigma reduction

Targeted messaging and storytelling campaigns that challenge the silence and shame still attached to mental health in many communities.

Leader training

All chapter leads complete a structured training programme covering active listening, safeguarding, crisis response, and referral pathways.

Institutional reporting

Chapters provide anonymised engagement data back to the university and MindLyfe, creating evidence for institutional mental health planning.
